Visiting Our Facility

As December 17th, 2021, the Nova Scotian Government has reintroduced restrictions throughout the province.  As such, an appointment will need to be made prior to your visit to the facility; requirements such as Proof of Full Vaccination are also still in place.

Appointments
Appointments can be made only by email to Rams@dal.ca; we will not accept appointment requests over the phone or in person.  Appointment requests can be made up to 72hrs in advance starting Wednesday December 15, 2021.  Please see the chart below for appointment start times.  All appointments are for 1.5hrs (90mins).

Capacity Restrictions/Limitations

Please note the following capacity limits for pods:

Weight Room 1, Weight Room 2, Functional Fitness Room, Squash Court, and Pod C-3 have a max capacity of 2 (when booked together).

Pod C-1, C-2, C-4, C-5, Pod 3 have a maximum capacity of 1.

Pickleball, Badminton, and Basketball can have group sizes up to 6 (when booked together).

The Langille Athletic Centre is excited to offer a variety of activities for members and students. 

Our Expectation of Members and Student-Members:

  • A membership card or DalCard is required to access the facility.
  • Proof of vaccination must be shown upon first visit to the facility.
  • Please be kind and patient with everyone.
  • Pace yourself as you return to physical activity.
  • Masks are required as members move about the facility, but not during workouts within their booked fitness pods.
  • Personal music should only be played via headphone/earphone. 
  • Proper attire should be worn at all times (shirt, shorts/pants and shoes).
  • Equipment should should be wiped down before and after use with provided spray bottles and cloths.

Commitment to Health and Safety:

  • Reinforced personal hygiene measures for members and staff including frequent hand washing while in the facilities.
  • Health screening for members/students upon entry to the facility (see below).
  • Health screening protocols for staff.
  • Personal protective equipment for staff.
  • Hand sanitizing stations throughout the building.
  • Installation of plexiglass at the Equipment desk and gym monitors desk.

Cleaning Products:  We will be using Oxivir® Plus Disinfectant Cleaner Concentrate to disinfect equipment twice per day. Gym users will be provided with spray bottles and clean cloths to clean equipment after use.
