The Tigers travelled to St. Catherine's, ON this past weekend for the Canadian University Rowing Championship. Five boats participated in the race, crewed by Sophie Inkpen, Ava Dlugolecki, Deanna Salmon, Antonia Chircop, Jordan Burke, Alastair Price and Jay Chevalier.
Sophie Inkpen made Tigers history by earning a spot in the A final for the women's lightweight single sculled race. The Tigers have never had a rower in this A final before. She raced well, finishing in sixth.
Inkpen is coming off a hot summer, competing at the Canada Summer Games in Niagara, earning a bronze medal for Nova Scotia.
Other results from the championship include:
- Ava and Sophie finishing second in the B final of the lightweight women's double scull
- Deanna and Antonia second in the C final of the women's pairs
- Jordan and Alastir finsihing fourth in the lightweight men's double scull
- Jay finishing fourth in the men's single scull
