Student Membership Information

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020-21 athletics and recreation fees are being waived for the fall term. All Dalhousie students will have access to athletics facilities despite not paying the fees.

Under regular circumstances, full-time Dal students, pay athletics and recreation fees as part of their tuition, giving them automatic acess to Dalplex and Sexton Gym.

*Full-time refers to a student enrolled in three (3) or more classes during the current term (summer, fall, winter).

Part-time Dalhousie students, PGME and co-op students don't pay the same fees as full-time students, which unfortunately means their gym membership is not included in their fees.

Intramurals 

Intramurals allow students to play recreational sports with the focus on having fun, getting active, and making new friends. Intramurals are offered as leagues, mini leagues and/or tournaments in both competitive and recreation levels.

Group Fitness

We offer a wide range of group fitness classes for members and students! With classes happening at both Dalplex and Sexton Gym you are never too far from your next workout!

Dal Physiotherapy Clinic 

The Dalhousie Physiotherapy Clinic has been established as a partnership between Dalhousie University’s School of Physiotherapy, within the Faculty of Health (Dal Health), and the Department of Athletics and Recreation.

Sport Clubs

Sport clubs at Dalhousie provide opportunities for students to try a new sport or activity for the first time, to further develop or improve existing skills, to compete on-campus or in local metro competitions, and make new friends along the way.

Personal Training 

Personal training has benefits for everyone, from beginners to elite athletes. Whether you are just getting started, you're looking to lose weight, you're trying to get over an injury, or you simply enjoy the motivation and expertise a personal trainer provides, we can help!
