How to use the Rock Court
Step 1: Register for an accreditation
An accreditation is required before someone can climb in the Rock Court, and it must be renewed annually. This accreditation is free and outlines the Rock Court's polices and procedures, safe falling practices, spotting, knowing when to/when not to use the drag mat, and where to stand/where not to stand in the climbing gym (Note: this accreditation is for bouldering only).
Please go online to book your accreditation or call 902-494-3372. You must sign up for your accreditation at the same time as your first climbing appointment, as you will not be permitted to climb until it has been completed.
Step 2: Book your appointment
Due to restrictions caused by COVID-19 and social distancing guidelines, there is a limit to how many people can be in the Rock Court at one time. As a result, appointments must be booked in advance to use the facility. You can book your appointment online or by calling 902-494-3372.
- All bookings are restricted to a max of 7 people.
- Climbers are required to wear a mask at all times in the Rock Court, including when climbing.
- Climbers are asked to use liquid chalk or use hand sanitizer and chalk between each climb.
Step 3: Check-in & head downstairs
Please check-in at Dalplex no more than 15 minutes before your appointment and ensure you have your DalCard and mask.
Once you are checked-in, you can proceed down to the Rock Court and line-up for your appointment in the designated spaces in the hallway outside the climbing gym.
