Fitness Class Descriptions
Below you will find the fitness class descriptions for our current group fitness classes.
Active Aging
Feel energized in this safe, fun class that will contribute to a healthy, active lifestyle. Participants will move through whole body movement patterns to improve strength, flexibility, balance, and mobility.
Please bring a small towel or a yoga strap, a mat, and if possible, a pair of light weights. Limited weights are available for use.
Day/Time: Mondays and Wednesdays at 1:30pm - 2:30pm

All Levels Yoga
In yoga, we connect the rhythm of the breath with a series of yoga poses (asanas). This is a zero-judgement class, everyone moves to their own ability, so all levels are welcome. Participants may use blocks and adjustments/accommodations can be made to poses. Goals of the class are muscle activation, posture improvement, tension release, and reducing stress and anxiety. We always finish class in a final resting pose (savasana), to finish class feeling refreshed and rested.
Please bring your own mat/blocks with you If you have them

AquaZumba
Combine The Latin Zumba rhythm with a pool party and join the growing numbers in the pool for a terrific cardiovascular workout. Taking place in the shallow end, Aqua Zumba is a fun body-toning workout perfect for all levels.
Day/Time: Sundays 4:30-5:30pm

Body Strong
Improve muscle tone while working your body from head to toe. This class uses handheld weights and body weight exercises to provide a challenging and fun workout. Class includes warm up, cool down, and floor work with abdominal training and stretching.
Day/Time: Monday 5:30pm-6:30pm, Tuesday 6:15-7am, Wednesday 9:30am-10:30am, Thursday 6:15-7am, Friday 4:30pm-5:30pm, Saturday 9:30am-10:30am

DalSpin
Join us for an exhilarating 45-minute ride, varied with drills including hills, sprints, and tempo rides. Participants can work at their own pace by adjusting the spin bike’s resistance and intensity level. Class begins with a warmup and ends with a cooldown that includes standing stretch. An overview of how to adjust seats, handlebars and resistance will be given at the beginning, and postural cueing is offered throughout class.
The Spin studio is located upstairs in Studio 3 at Dalplex
- Due to high demand, only one (1) bike per member can be booked.
- Bikes are booked on a first-come, first-served basis and space is limited.
- Each class is limited to 16 people.
- Bags, outdoor footwear, coats, etc., should be stored in a cubby or in a locker in one of the locker rooms
- Spin studio will open approximately 15 minutes prior to the start of class.
NO SHOWS/CANCELLATIONS:
- If you are not able to make the class, please call to cancel your booking at least 1 hour prior to the class starting or cancel online.
- If you cancel with less than 30 minutes notice or if you fail to show up for class, you will not be permitted to book a bike in advance for a week.
- A second cancellation and/or no-show will result in the member losing advance booking privileges for a period of 1 month

DalSpin and Core
Everything you love about DalSpin with the addition of a 15min core workout to finish off the class! You’ll start off with a 45min DalSpin workout and finish with 15min of core burn!

H.I.I.T.
This Functional HIIT classes is based on explosive movements that combine agility, strength, power and cardio exercises over intervals that will keep you active and sweaty. During the workout, you will activate your cardiovascular and neuromotor systems, while improving overall body strength and mobility. After 45 minutes you will feel super energized!

H.I.I.T. Pilates
A class that combines H.I.I.T and Pilates for an exceptional workout! In this class you’ll pair H.I.I.T. to get your heart rate up with Pilates movements to work your deep core and tone.

STRONG 45™

STRONG Nation™
STRONG Nation™ combines high intensity interval training with the science of synched music motivation. It combines body weight, muscle conditioning, cardio and plyometric training moves synchronized to original music that has been specifically designed to match every single move to push you beyond your limits.

Tai Chi
Tai chi is a series of gentle physical exercises which has been described as “moving meditation.” Each posture flows into the next without pause, ensuring that your body is in constant motion. Tai Chi benefits include improving balance, strength, and co-ordination, preventing falls for the elderly, and reducing stress. This class is open to all interested adults.
Day/Time: Wednesday 9:30am-10:20am (Studio 1), Sunday 11:30-12:30pm (Studio 2)

Yoga Fusion
This class brings together everything you love about yoga and Pilates, helping you work on your balance, and flexibility while toning and shaping long lean muscles.

Zumba™
Learn to loosen up the hips and shoulders and shake and shimmy your way to a great cardio workout. Zumba is a medium impact floor aerobics class with a warm up and cool down, spiced up with Latin music and a blend of Latin style dance movements. Highly energetic and fun!
Zumba™ Varieties
A Latin-inspired dance workout that combines cardio, muscle conditioning, balance, and flexibility that will leave you with a boost of energy and feeling great after this full body sweat.
