The Dalhousie Rowing Club provides competitive and novice rowing opportunities to Dalhousie students.

Rowing club members train intensively and compete in local and national regattas from September to early November. Winter training runs from November to April and includes indoor rowing competitions.

Dal Rowing offers three programs:

  • Learn to Row (no rowing experience required)
  • Novice (must have completed a Learn to Row course previously, at Dalhousie or elsewhere)
  • Varsity (experience required, and must be able to meet team standards)

Dalhousie Rowing trains out of two local clubs - the Halifax Rowing Club and the Mic Mac Amateur Aquatic Club.

Head Coach: Erica Gagnon
