Rowing

The Dalhousie Rowing Club provides competitive and novice rowing opportunities to Dalhousie students. Rowing club members train intensively and compete in local and national regattas from September to early November. Winter training runs from November to April and includes indoor rowing competitions. Dalhousie Rowing trains out of the Mic Mac Amateur Aquatic Club.

Dalhousie Rowing offers three programs:

Learn to Row* No rowing experience required
Novice* Must have completed an introductory course previously
Varsity Experience required, and must be able to meet team standards

*Learn to Row and Novice programs are suspended for the 2021 season

Team Commitment

Rowing club members train intensively and compete in local and national regattas from September to early November. Winter training runs from November to April and includes indoor rowing competitions.

The varsity program has up to 8 practices a week including on-water and dryland training. These sessions are located at the Mic Mac Ameteur Aquatic Club and Dalplex.
