Aquafit
Aquafit is great for participants who have arthritis, who have a little extra bodyweight or who are looking for a no-impact workout that provides less stress on the joints while firming muscles, thanks to water's natural resistance (deep and shallow water classes offered).
Seniors’ Badminton
This group of active older adults meets regularly at Dalplex to hone their skills, stay physically active and socialize. All skill levels welcome. Please bring your own equipment or rent a racquet and shuttles from the Dalplex Customer Service Centre.
Seniors’ Strength Training
Weight training increases muscle strength, bone density and stamina at all ages. Participants are encouraged to use appropriate weights and levels of exercise to challenge their individual fitness level. The exercises are designed to enhance the ability of the older participant to perform routine daily tasks and to improve posture and balance. Warm up and stretching are included.
Older Adult Yogaflex
You don't have to be flexible to come to our Yogaflex class - participants are encouraged to work at their own level, using props (if required) to assist in yoga postures which will help to improve strength, flexibility and balance. Breathing exercises help to reduce tension and increase one's sense of well being.
