How to Register

Intramural Registration

Registration for the 2011-12 intramural season starts Friday, September 2.

  • Registration is done as a team, with the exception of tennis and badminton singles, which are individual sports.
  • If you’d like to join a team, contact your faculty or residence sport representative to join their team. Your faculty head office or residence council can provide you with your sport representative’s contact information.
  • A group of individuals may also join together to form an independent team.
  • No team? No problem. If you are on your own, you can sign up at the Dalplex Customer Service Centre and every effort will be made to have you placed on a team.
  • Teams must provide the appropriate fees and completed registration forms to the Campus Recreation Office before 5pm on the date of the registration deadline. Late entries will not be accepted.

Intramural Eligibility

  • You must be affiliated with Dalhousie University as a full-time or a part-time student (with a current Dalplex membership), a faculty or staff member, or an adult Dalplex member.
  • You must have a current student ID or Dalplex membership card and must bring university or Dalplex-issued photo ID with you to each intramural activity.

Intramural Fees

  • Intramural activities are free for those who are eligible to participate.
  • There is a small performance/forfeit fee required with each team registration, which is refundable upon request at the end of a league or tournament providing the team is in good standing and has not forfeited any games.
  • Hockey registrations require additional deposits and non-refundable fees.
  • If your group will be registering for more than eight leagues, mini-leagues or tournaments, the 250 Club is the best option.

Performance Fees

  • Leagues: $30.00
  • Mini-Leagues & Tournaments: $20.00
  • Individual/Singles events: $10.00
  • Doubles events: $20.00 

Intramural Refunds

Team captains or individuals registered for an intramural league, mini-league or tournament must request the refund of their performance/forfeit fee from the Campus Recreation Office. Refund information must be submitted on a Registration Refund Request form, available from the Campus Recreation Office only.

Refund requests must be submitted before March 15, 2012 in order to qualify.
